The Platform

Devoted to the M2Pro SIAME, this platform is physically splitted in two parts:

  • the front-end node (alias frontal)
  • and the desktop nodes (siame[1..23]).

The desktop nodes are connected to the server through a LACP link over a level 2 VLAN routed through DTSI's network infrastructure.

Hardware

Here you'll find a detailled description of both hardware and software of the CAMSI platform.

  • [server] Dell PowerEdge 2850 with 12GB DRAM, 4 cores XEON 3.2Ghz and 6 x 146GB 10ktpm hard drives in a RAID5 configuration,
  • [nodes] 18 x Dell Optiplex GX 620 with 3GB RAM and 2 cores Pentium D 3.4Ghz.

System

We use Scientific Linux 6.5 x86_64 along with various additional repositories.
